Leather and Lace

I don’t remember how many times I told these two that they were naturals during our photo session together. After spending a few minutes with Megan & Steven I knew this was going to be a fun session! It had rained only 30 minutes or so before our photo session so the park was still wet and the humidity was high but it didn’t affect them at all!

There’s usually a half an hour warm up period for most couples before getting comfortable in front of the camera but Megan & Steven immediately got comfortable in front of the camera without much direction at all! The thing that was the most endearing about them was the fact that they were most in their element when they were looking at each other. Megan & Steven share an interest in astrology and I think this really shows in their everyday life! As corny as It may sound, these two have the ability to match the other’s energy. If one person got a little shy the other was able to get them out of their shell. If one was loosing momentum the other was there to give energy right back to them. It was amazing to watch!

Something else that was very beautiful to see was the way Steven looks at Megan. I can tell by the way Steven looks at her that not only is he stunned by her beauty but wholeheartedly loves everything she is by the way he embraces her and allows himself to be vulnerable around her in our photos.

The rest of the shoot went seamlessly as neither of these two minded the fact that we had to walk a fair distance to get to each photo location! It was a joy to photograph Megan & Steven and I’m so happy that the weather cleared up so that we had a beautiful sunset to match their amazing energy and natural love! Just like the song, they are each other’s Leather & Lace!
