Best Affordable Sunscreens for Brides to use for Summer Weddings

Top Sunscreens to use for Hot Summer Weddings

Protective and Cosmetic Friendly!

Do you have issues with sunscreens feeling heavy? Leaving a white cast or staining your clothes ? Or are formulated with a fragrance you can’t stand?! The four following sunscreens I have tested and are approved to keep you protected and also looking radiant on your big day!

Disclaimer: I am not a dermatologist or certified esthetician. The way these products perform are based on my personal experience and may or may not work with your skin type. Remember to reapply your sunscreen every 2 hours when outside in the sun to prevent sunburns! Sunscreens are always being reformulated and may change after the publishing of this post.

1. Kose Suncut UV Perfect Essence

This japanese sunscreen has been my go to SPF for the last 3 years! Although its undergone a couple of reformulations the one thing that has remained consistent is its liability. I have worn this on long day trips, intense work outs and on the hottest and coldest days of the year. This product spreads easily on the skin and leaves no white cast, feels very lightweight and leaves a satin finish on the skin. It’s water resistant and ideal for very sweaty conditions. I recommend this sunscreen for the face because the tube is only 60 grams.

2. Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel

Korean sunscreens are a must for anyone wanting a luxury feeling product. This sunscreen spreads like a dream on the skin and leaves no white cast on the skin. It’s a great all in one product that combines the benefit of a high end moisturizer and a sunscreen which will leave your skin feeling hydrated the whole day. This sunscreen leaves a more glowy finish to the skin and works great under make up! This sunscreen is recommended for the face due to bottle being only 50ml.

3. Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel

This sunscreen was the first sunscreen I found enjoyable to wear on my body. If you truly hate sunscreens and want the lightest formulation I recommend this! It absorbs almost instantly and doesn’t collect or gel down body hair or peach fuzz (works especially great for men!). This bottle comes with a pump which is extremely convenient for a fast application when you’re in a rush. This product is also water resistant which makes it ideal for very hot and sweaty conditions. I recommend this sunscreen for the body because of its large size bottle and for the fact that the lightweight formula may not be hydrating enough for the face.

4. Bondi Sands Sunscreen Body Lotion

This sunscreen was originally formulated in Australia which has some of the most intense heat and uv rays you will ever encounter! Australia is very careful on formulating and testing their SPF products for the best protection. You can feel confident wearing this sunscreen knowing you are protected regardless of how sunburn prone you are. This product has a lotion consistency and leaves the skin looking radiant and glowy which can be hard to achieve with a body product. This sunscreen is water resistant and is ideal for the most hot and sweaty weather conditions due to its thicker consistency. Because of this I recommend this product for the body and it works great especially for those that have dryer skin. The sunscreen bottle is large which is also ideal for a body sunscreen.

I have linked here a video from one of my favorite skincare content creators, Michelle from Lab Muffin Beauty Science – which discusses different reapplication techniques and demonstrates how to reapply sunscreen over make up!

Sunscreens have changed so much over the years and they no longer have to be a chore to wear! They are especially important for a summer wedding and will keep you protected all day long while providing great benefits to the skin!
