Arielle & Frederick
Couple Photoshoot | Empire State Plaza | Albany, NY

A Power Couple isn’t defined only by love and passion, but by how they uplift each other through their defining moments!
When you’re photographing everyday people, it’s one thing because you and your couple have a chance to warm up, you get comfortable with your camera and settings, and the couple learns how to pose so everyone is on the same level. However, with Arielle & Frederick, who are already working models in the fashion industry, I knew I had to be on my A-game from the very beginning of the shoot!
When Arielle & Frederick showed up to Empire State Plaza, you could immediately feel their energy. Both of them were dressed as if they had just walked out of a magazine shoot. Frederick’s white outfit and Arielle’s pink dress with tall heels did not get lost among the buildings and architecture in the plaza. They are some of the hardest-working couples I’ve recently met. Arielle is not only a working model but is currently studying full-time to become a nurse! I couldn’t imagine that workload. Frederick travels all around for his modeling jobs and is also into fitness. Both of them have to consistently be on their A-game every day for their careers, which gave me even more of a push to make these photos epic.
Both of them are incredibly passionate individuals, and this translates beautifully to their portrait photos. When they interact while posing, you can feel the romantic energy radiating from both of them, almost as if I’m watching a love story play out in real time. Even when the camera was off, they always looked at each other with so much love. They walked hand in hand, always checking on the other and stealing a kiss or two, even when it wasn’t photo time.
I don’t normally photograph models much anymore since I’ve moved to photographing weddings and couples full time, however this shoot reminded me how much modeling truly is a professional craft. Knowing where the camera is, knowing your angles, and how you translate on screen is something that takes a lot of experience, and this definitely showed every time I took a photo of them. Even in their transitional movements, almost every frame was post-worthy.
Both of them are the definition of a power couple. Even in the upcoming days, both of them had shows and photoshoots that they were preparing for. It’s one thing to do it on your own, but to have a partner by your side that is just as hardworking, who lifts you up and celebrates your accomplishments, is a beautiful thing to find and both of them have clearly found this. I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow in their industries while supporting each other along the way!
